A Haitian Wedding Venue in Orlando That Already Knows the Menu

The food is the part nobody gets right

Ask anyone who has planned a Haitian wedding in Central Florida and you will hear the same story. The venue is beautiful, the price is fine, and then the catering conversation starts and everything falls apart. The in-house caterer has never made griot. The outside caterer you actually want has to be approved, insured, charged a fee, and given a kitchen that turns out to be a warming cabinet and a sink. So somebody’s mother ends up cooking for two hundred people the day before her daughter’s wedding.

We built The Edgewater Room to end that.

The venue shares a building and a full commercial kitchen with Bon Appetit Grill, a Haitian and Caribbean restaurant that has been feeding Orlando for years across three locations. Griot, kabrit, tassau beef, oxtail, legim, jerk chicken, diri djon djon, diri ak pwa, bannann peze, akra, paté, pikliz and sos ti malis are not accommodations we make for you. They are Tuesday.

One room, ceremony through last dance

The room seats 100 guests at tables and holds up to 130 for a standing reception. White coffered ceiling, a wall of pleated gray drape, a statement chandelier, and a bar fronted in black and brass. There is a low stage for the band, the DJ or the speeches, and space to actually dance.

If you want the ceremony here as well, our team flips the room during cocktail hour. Your guests walk out of a ceremony and back into a reception, and they never see how it happened. That flip is included in both wedding packages, not sold back to you as an extra.

What it costs

The Ceremony and Reception package covers eight hours, full catering, a four-hour open bar, a day-of coordinator, two hours of photography, the bridal suite and a rehearsal hour. Wedding Reception covers the reception alone. Ceremony Only exists for couples celebrating somewhere else afterward.

Every price is published, weekday and weekend, on the packages page. There is no form standing between you and a number. If your guest count runs past what a package includes, you add guests at a set per-person price rather than being pushed up a tier.

Things that matter at a Haitian wedding, specifically

The midnight question. Events end at midnight and extend to 1 AM for $150 an hour. Arrange it when you book. Nobody wants that conversation at 11:40.

Kremas and the toast. We carry a full bar, and a champagne or mimosa toast is six dollars a guest. If you are bringing family kremas, talk to us first, because outside alcohol has licensing consequences we would rather solve in advance than discover on the night.

The cake. Bring your own baker. We do not charge a cutting fee, which most venues quietly do.

Two languages, one team. Our staff speak Kreyòl and English. Your grandmother will be spoken to properly.

Come taste it first

That is the real invitation. Book a tour, see the room, and let us put the menu in front of you before you commit to anything. If the food is right, the rest of the planning gets a lot easier.

Questions

About haitian weddings here.

Can you cook a full Haitian wedding menu?

Yes, and we do not treat it as a special request. Griot, kabrit, tassau, legim, diri djon djon, diri ak pwa, bannann peze, pikliz and sos ti malis are all standing menu items at Bon Appetit Grill, our restaurant in the same building. Your tanti will not have to bring anything.

Will the room hold our whole family?

We seat 100 at tables and hold 130 standing. If your guest list is running past that, tell us early and we will talk honestly about whether we are the right room, rather than squeezing you in.

Can we have the ceremony here too?

Yes. Our Ceremony and Reception package puts both in this room. We flip the space during cocktail hour so your guests come back to a completely different room.

Can we run past midnight?

Events end at midnight, and you can extend to 1 AM for $150 an hour if you arrange it in advance. Haitian weddings tend to need that hour. Ask for it when you book, not on the night.

Do you allow our own DJ and our own photographer?

Of course. Bring the DJ who knows your family's songs. If you would rather we handle it, our DJ package covers four hours of music and sound.

Come and stand in the room.

Tours are by appointment and we answer within four business hours.
