An Orlando Wedding Venue With a Real Kitchen in the Building

The first number is usually not the real number

Ask five Orlando venues for a wedding quote and you will get five rental fees that look reasonable. Then the additions start. Chairs at $4.50 each. A decor package advertised for 100 guests that quietly caps at 75. A delivery fee from whichever caterer is on the approved list. A cake cutting fee. A bar minimum that only appears in the contract.

We publish our prices. Weekday and weekend, every package, on the packages page. Tables and chairs for 100 are in every one of them. So is an event host who stays for your entire rental, setup before you arrive, cleaning after you leave, the pleated drape backdrop, house sound, free parking and WiFi. None of that is a line item you discover later.

One room, ceremony through last dance

The Edgewater Room seats 100 at tables and holds 130 standing. White coffered ceiling, a wall of pleated gray drape, a statement chandelier, and a bar fronted in black and brass. There is a low convertible stage for the ceremony, the DJ, the band or the speeches, and white walls that take color well if you want uplighting.

Three wedding packages exist because three kinds of weddings exist. Ceremony Only is three hours for couples celebrating elsewhere afterward. Wedding Reception is eight hours for couples marrying at a church. Ceremony and Reception is eight hours and covers both, including the flip.

Where a wedding budget actually goes

Not the room. Food and bar.

Our catering packages run from $50 to $75 a person, with a 50-guest minimum. The 18% service fee covers staff for up to three hours, full setup and complete breakdown, which means nobody in your family is clearing tables at 11 PM. Bar options range from beer and wine at $950 to a full open bar at $1,600 for four hours, or a champagne toast at $6 a guest if that is all you want.

Because the kitchen is in this building, shared with the restaurant, there is no catering delivery fee on any of it. Food travels about twenty feet. It arrives hot, which is not a promise most venues can make honestly.

If your guest count runs past what your package includes, you add people at a set rate instead of being pushed up a tier: $45 a guest for food, $20 for bar, $10 for a premium place setting.

The timeline couples get wrong

Six hours disappears faster than anyone expects. Here is a reception schedule that works in this room.

  • 4:00 doors, vendors in, photos in the empty room
  • 5:00 ceremony
  • 5:30 cocktail hour in the bar area while we flip the room
  • 6:30 grand entrance
  • 7:00 dinner service
  • 8:00 toasts, first dance, parent dances
  • 9:00 cake, then the floor opens
  • 11:30 last song
  • 12:00 out

The two mistakes we see most: leaving a dead ninety minutes between the ceremony and dinner, and not deciding about the extra hour until the night itself. Events end at midnight. You can extend to 1 AM for $150 an hour, but it has to be arranged in advance.

Fridays, Saturdays and the quiet way to save money

Friday and Saturday carry a $3,000 minimum total spend, and everything counts toward it: rental, food, bar, add-ons. Most weddings clear it without trying. Monday through Thursday there is no minimum at all, and a Sunday event starting after 4 PM is billed at weekday rates. A Sunday evening wedding is the single easiest way to cut a four-figure amount off a wedding budget in this city.

Dates are bookable up to 18 months out.

House rules, so nothing is a surprise

No glitter, no confetti or powder-filled balloons, nothing taped to the floors, nothing affixed to the walls, and no open flame, hookah or smoke machines. Cold sparklers are available through us at $350 and they photograph better anyway.

Taste the food before you sign anything

This is the part we would push hardest. Book a tour, walk the room, then sit down and eat what your guests will eat. Almost no venue in Orlando can do that in the same visit, because almost none of them have a kitchen. We do, and it is open. If the food is right, the rest of the planning gets much easier.

Questions

About weddings here.

Can we hold the ceremony and the reception in the same room?

Yes. Our Ceremony and Reception package covers eight hours and includes the room flip. We reset the space during cocktail hour, so your guests leave a ceremony and walk back into a reception. The flip is included, not sold back to you as an extra.

How many guests can you actually seat?

100 at tables, 130 standing. Tables and chairs for 100 are included in every package. We do not charge per chair and we do not cap the decor at a smaller number than the room holds.

Do you charge a cake cutting fee?

No. Bring your own baker. We will give you a table, a knife and a place to keep it cool, and there is no fee for any of it.

What does it take to hold our date?

A $500 non-refundable retainer, which comes off your balance. Half the remaining balance is due 60 days out and the rest 21 days before. There is also a $300 refundable damage deposit, returned within 7 business days after the wedding.

Can we use our own DJ, photographer and planner?

Always. Outside vendors are welcome and there is no approval fee. The one exception is alcohol, which has to be served by our licensed bartenders under our license.

Come and stand in the room.

Tours are by appointment and we answer within four business hours.
