A Baby Shower Venue in Orlando Where a Weekday Costs Half
Start with the calendar, not the decor
Almost every baby shower in Orlando gets planned in the wrong order. The theme comes first, then the decorator, then the venue, and by then the date is fixed on a Saturday and the price is whatever the price is.
Flip it. A shower is a daytime event, usually three to four hours, and it does not need a Saturday. Monday through Thursday our rental rate is lower and there is no minimum total spend at all. Friday and Saturday carry a $3,000 minimum across rental, food, bar and add-ons, which a 40-person afternoon shower will struggle to reach and will simply pay up to. A Sunday brunch that starts after 4 PM is billed at weekday rates.
Move the same shower from a Saturday to a Thursday afternoon or a late Sunday and the money you save is usually more than the entire decor budget.
What six hours gets you when you only need four
Six hours is our minimum on every package. That sounds like a mismatch for a shower until you use it properly.
- Hour one and two: your decorator, your balloon garland, your dessert table, photos of the room while it is still perfect
- Hour three: guests arrive, food out, drinks going
- Hour four: games, then the reveal or the gift opening
- Hour five: cake, photos with the family
- Hour six: goodbyes, gifts loaded into the car without anyone rushing
Our setup before you arrive and our cleaning after you leave sit outside those six hours. You are not paying rental time for us to fold tables.
The room, and why the food is different here
The Edgewater Room seats 100 at tables and holds 130 standing. White coffered ceiling, statement chandelier, a wall of pleated gray drape and white walls that take color. For a shower that neutral palette matters, because whatever your theme is, the room will not argue with it. If you want the walls washed in your color, uplighting is $250.
The part that separates us from a hotel meeting room or an empty white box: the kitchen is in this building, shared with the restaurant. Food travels twenty feet. It comes out hot, there is never a catering delivery fee, and you can eat the actual menu at your tasting before you book anything.
For a daytime shower, the small things carry the table. Mini paté, akra, beef cornet, boulèt, Caribbean hot wings, cocktail shrimp, chiktay, fried sweet plantains. Then something warm and substantial for the people who came hungry: jerk chicken, chicken curry, griot, chicken cordon bleu, diri ak pwa or mac gratinée. Sorrel and fruit punch instead of a bar, or a mimosa bar if the group wants one.
Why Platinum is usually the right package
Platinum is the shower package. It includes two staff, custom decor styling with florals, linens and ribbons, a two-item hors d’oeuvres station, your choice of a mimosa bar or wine service, a photo backdrop wall, a cake and dessert table, and food for 30.
That covers most showers outright. If your list is larger, extra guests are $45 each for food rather than a jump to a bigger tier. If you want the room and nothing else because your family is cooking, Venue Only exists and has no food in it at all. A buffet dropped and set in the room is $32 a person, which is often exactly right for a shower.
Everything else is already included in every package: tables and chairs for 100, an event host on site the whole time, the drape backdrop, house sound with Bluetooth, two TV screens for a slideshow, free parking and WiFi. No per-chair charge, ever.
Gender reveals, done so they photograph
Two house rules shape this: no confetti or powder-filled balloons, and nothing involving open flame or smoke. What does work, and works better on camera, is a balloon garland in the reveal color ($325 for ten feet, $575 for twenty), color uplighting that switches on cue, cold sparklers at $350, marquee letters at $100 each, or a custom printed backdrop at $250. A digital photo booth is $200 for two hours and a 360 booth is $400.
Holding the date
A $500 non-refundable retainer holds it and comes off your balance. Half the remaining balance is due 60 days out and the rest 21 days before, with a $300 refundable damage deposit returned within 7 business days. You can book up to 18 months ahead, which for a shower means you can hold a date before you have told anyone anything.

Our shower is only three hours. Do we still book six?
Yes. Six hours is the minimum on every package except a ceremony-only wedding. Most showers use four of them and treat the first two as decor and photo time, which is genuinely useful. Our own setup and cleaning happen outside your six hours, so none of your time goes to that.

Can you do a gender reveal in the room?

Can we bring our own cake and dessert table?
Yes. There is no cake cutting fee. The Platinum package already includes a cake and dessert table setup, and our own dessert service is $9 a person if you would rather we handled it.
Is the room easy for older relatives and pregnant guests?
Free parking directly outside, step-free access throughout and accessible restrooms. Nobody is walking a block or climbing stairs.
